Quinn’s Nursery

I always dreamed of what our baby’s nursery would look like. I saved pictures and inspiration anytime I noticed something that captured my heart and eyes. I even bought little treasures before I was pregnant, knowing how much I would love a certain item in the future nursery.  So I spent a lot of time dreaming and decorating this room. It ended up being a peaceful and whimsical room that I actually have spent a lot of time in over the past 18 months. I kept most of the elements of the room the same after our move.

The crib and the dresser are where we started. I wanted either a pale grey or white look and finally decided to go with the pale grey. Both pieces are from Restoration Hardware and have worked great for us. The day bed in the nursery has actually turned out to be super helpful and useful as I have spent many nights on there, especially in Quinn’s earlier days.

My absolute favorite detail of the nursery are the two framed pieces from La Maison Pierre Frey. They are actually fabric! I love toile (a bit more on that later) and always loved this print for a nursery. Mr. Handsome was not keen on the idea of doing wallpaper, and I had seen two frames this way in the past on our travels. Molly made this happen for me and I couldn’t have been more thrilled. I love gazing at them as I end my day putting Quinn to bed and doing bedtime routine sitting on the glider across from them.

The glider mentioned has been a very useful purchase and an absolute lifesaver.

Some of the other little treasures that I love are the toile Teddys from De Bucci Baby, our collection of books and swaddles, the picture frame holding my very first ultrasound with an actual visible baby picture, the Gold Frankincense Myrrh boxes; and some of the sweetest gifts we got like the silver rocking horse that we actually used throughout the tables at my baby shower (more on that later too), and the sweetest personalized silver rattle.

We also love our Gooseling crib sheets and duvet as we use them all the time.

I added links to some of our favorites from the most magical room in our home.
